Institution

The Faculty of Science of the University of Zagreb is the oldest and largest institution of higher education in natural sciences in Croatia. The Faculty includes 7 departments (Biology, Physics, Geophysics, Geography, Geology, Chemistry and Mathematics) with 28 sections, 3 chairs, 7 libraries, 2 computer centers, the Seismological Service, the Mareographic and Meteorological stations, and the Botanical garden. The Faculty has 288 full professors, associate and assistant professors, 180 junior researchers and about 5000 students divided between the 35 undergraduate, graduate or 5-years-integrated programs, 7 doctoral programs and one postgraduate speciality program.
